The Nautilus Restaurant Group is an incredible and unique place to work. We have three restaurants, all with their own character and personality, but at each we seek to find staff that share our passion for food, drink, energy, atmosphere, and social experiences. 

  • On Nantucket we have the original Nautilus, intimate and energetic, with just 32 dining seats and 18 bar seats in a single small room with an open kitchen. 
  • In Boston we have the Nautilus Pier 4, a larger waterfront restaurant in the seaport with 165 indoor seats in four unique settings and another 50 seasonal seats outside overlooking the Boston Harbor.  
  • Also on Nantucket we have the Gaslight, a Japanese Izakaya themed live music venue with about 100 seats in a variety of settings including over 20 seats at our wrap around bar and another 20 seats outdoors on our patio. 

At all of our restaurants we expect our staff to be able to consistently and professionally provide all of the necessary ingredients for our guests to feel empowered to simply let their guard down, enjoy themselves, try new things, and have extremely memorable sensory experiences. We want talented people with great personalities who are open to learning more in the world of food and beverage. We want those people to then be excited to share that knowledge with others. 

The Nantucket restaurants generally hire more during Jan through May, but do accept applications year round as positions may open mid season. Nautilus Boston will hire year round.

Line Cook

The Nautilus Pier 4 is hiring ambitious line cooks to join their newly constructed restaurant with state of the art kitchen. We offer $17/hr as base pay or MORE depending on experience with plenty of ability to earn overtime. We also pay out an ADDITIONAL kitchen appreciation fee of 3% of sales that pays out to between $3/hr and $4/hr extra per week. Health insurance is available and the Nautilus pays for half. Bonuses are available after 4 months, and additional bonuses are available for finding us more help. The Nautilus allows overtime and encourages cooks to come in and help with general day-to-day items such as family meal and putting orders away properly.

The Nautilus prides itself on being one of Boston’s top restaurants and in helping our staff learn, grow, and elevate their knowledge of creating and executing food on a high level. Our brand new and spacious kitchen provides people with plenty of space to execute their prep and facilitate a smooth and busy service. We encourage cooks to come in early to help with general day-to-day items such as family meal and putting orders away properly. The Nautilus Pier 4 is currently serving dinner 6 days/wk, but is looking to expand to a 7th dinner and to add lunch when enough staff comes aboard
