Thanks to growing up surrounded by his family’s involvement in the restaurant business, Vasil developed a love for the restaurant industry at a very early age. At just 18-years-old, Vasil moved to Switzerland where his culinary pursuits flourished. While there, he actively pursued his cooking career working in Adelboden–a small village in the Swiss Alps–and refined his skills by taking culinary courses at Gastro Fribourg. In 2018, Matrapazov moved to Boston where he continued to work in the industry before eventually taking on the position of Sous Chef at Nautilus Pier 4. His passion for learning, sharing and travel can be seen in his innate ability to create endless flavor combinations and express various cultures through his food. In his off time, Matrapazov spends time outdoors playing sports, or hanging out with his girlfriend and family.
