Mike Sampson

Nautilus Pier 4
Assistant General Manager

Mike Sampson, manager of The Nautilus Pier 4, has been immersed in the restaurant industry from a young age. His mother, a server at a dining establishment called Rudy’s Cafe, got him his first job as a dishwasher at just 16-years-old. Mike’s passion for the food industry continued to grow, leading him to explore different opportunities before joining the The Nautilus Pier 4 team. What began as a bartending gig quickly parlayed into other roles, such as server, food runner, host and everything in between. His passion for motivating people, while acting as a mentor, is reflected in not only his personal life, but also in his professional endeavors. Says Mike, “All the experience I gained in those positions turned out to be invaluable once I stepped into management. I’m able to see the restaurant from all angles like no one else can.” When asked about his biggest accomplishment, Sampson speaks about designing the allergy menu, and protocol for Nautilus Pier 4. Making the service team’s life easier and putting guests at ease knowing their health is in good hands is a huge accomplishment for himself and the restaurant. Sampson has lived his entire life in Somerville, MA where he now spends his days with his wife Renata, and two sons Noah and Roman.
