Nautilus Nantucket Barback

The Nautilus is searching for a punctual, hard working barback to join our team.  This position can be seasonal or full time year round, depending on the candidate.  Successful candidates will have a passion for empathetic hospitality and thrive in a fast paced, team environment.  They will enjoy building relationships with both bar guests and restaurant diners.  This position is a key member of our bar team and effective communication skills are key.  

Position Responsibilities:

• Support service preparation, including juicing and cutting fruit, preparing syrups, building garnishes, and all other bar-related tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bars
• Maintain and communicate the waitlist for bar seats
• Take drink orders for guests waiting for seats at the bar as well as guests waiting for tables
• Restocking bar before, during, and after service

Qualifications:

• Ability to be on time to start your day and work through to the end of service to assist during bar breakdown is key
• Candidates must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and carry/balance multiple items during service, including glass racks, ice buckets, and glassware
• Candidate must be 21+
